Dr. Thomas Boland

Dr. Boland Lasik surgeon PennsylvaniaDr. Thomas Boland joined Northeastern Eye Institute after serving in the U.S. Air Force where he was Chief of Ophthalmology at Keesler Air Force Medical Center.

Dr. Boland is a third generation ophthalmologist practicing in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He specializes in laser vision correction, cataract surgery, and general ophthalmology.

Dr. Boland obtained his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton. He completed his internship at Georgetown Medical Center and his ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He has also completed a Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at University Ophthalmic Consultants in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Boland is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of several ophthalmic societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Christopher S. Jordan

Dr. Christopher S. Jordan Scranton Lasik SurgeonDr. Christopher Jordan, a Fellowship-Trained Cornea and Refractive Surgery Specialist, practices in our Scranton, Honesdale and Carbondale offices. He follows in the footsteps of his father, Jerome W. Jordan, M.D and his grandfather, James S. Jordan, M.D. as a third-generation ophthalmologist practicing in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

A graduate of the University of Scranton, Dr. Jordan received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the Drexel University College of Medicine also in Philadelphia, PA. From there, he spent 15 months in an intensive Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship with Corneal Consultants of Indiana and Price Vision Group, Indianapolis, IN.

Dr. Jordan is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology.

He specializes in cornea and refractive surgery as well as general ophthalmology including the treatment of cataracts and glaucoma.
