Dr. Kaitlin Gilbert gained experience diagnosing and managing patients with various stages of ocular disease including, but not  limited to, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, retinal detachments and corneal conditions. Gained experience working as part of a team and personally seeing 8-11 patients a day.

Scranton Location

Our Scranton office is home to our Ambulatory Surgical Center where we offer LASIK, cataract surgery, intraocular lens implants, and other eye surgeries to correct retina issues for patients in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, and other nearby areas in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Medical Records Assistant  (June 2018 – August 2019)  Midwestern Eye Institute. Completed assigned tasks in an efficient and timely matter. Organized and prioritized medical information.  Maintained communication with multiple offices.

Operations Customer Service Manager (May 2018 – July 2018 ) Managed and trained customer service representatives on procedures, customer service and sales techniques. • Reviewed daily financial reports and monitored sales to ensure company goal met or exceeded. • Provided employees with daily performance review and training on how to improve. 

Customer Service Representative  (May 2012 – December 2017 ) . Communicated with upset customers to find the best solution for issues and complaints.  Informed customers on billing procedures, processed payments and provided assistance to establish payment options. • Built rapport and long lasting client relationships to create valuable business connections.

Capstone project: “Do You Have Your VT Buddy? Motivation and Compliance in Vision Therapy” • Research focused on implementing a motivation object to increase compliance in home vision therapy assignments.
