Northeastern Eye Institute’s Hamlin office is located in the Hamlin Shopping Center at 569 Hamlin Highway. This location also serves the communities of Lake Ariel, Newfoundland, Greentown, Moscow, Gouldsboro, Hawley, Dingmans Ferry, Matamoras, Shohola, Lords Valley and Sterling. The office offers convenient parking and appointment times, with evening appointments available.
Dr. Boland received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton and was awarded his medical doctorate from the University of Ottawa, Canada.
He completed an internship at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, Pennsylvania and a residency at Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia.
Dr. Boland is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology, the Ophthalmic Society of Northeastern Pennsylvania, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Lackawanna County Medical Societies
Dr. Boland was recognized by the American Medical Association in 1990 for his contribution to continuing education in Ophthalmology. He specialized in general ophthalmology.
