Northeastern Eye Institute's Mountaintop office is located at Mr. Z's Plaza on Route 309. This location also serves the communities of Hazleton, Nanticoke, Ashley, Berwick, Nescopeck, White Haven, Drums, Conyngham, Hanover and Wilkes-Barre. The office offers convenient parking and appointment times, with evening appointments available.
Services offered at this location include regular eye exams, contact lens care and treatment of eye diseases and diagnostic testing services. A great selection of lens options and frames are available from the most popular designer products to our affordable eyewear packages. Eyewear and sunwear designers for men and women include, Gucci, BCBG, Furla, Etro, Juicy Couture, Lacoste, Elle, Esprit, and Elizabeth Arden. Sunwear selections also include Ray Ban and Costa Del Mar. Young adult and children's brands feature Guess, Ocean Pacific, Izod , Converse, and Sketchers.
The medical staff at this office includes Melanie Brown DeMichele, O.D., Cynthia G. Charnetski, O.D. and Jennifer Randle, O.D.
Dr. DeMichele, who has been practicing in Mountaintop for several years, has participated in Health Fairs for various organizations and workplaces in the area. She also does volunteer work and fundraising for Yale Cancer Research, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The American Cancer Society and MDA.
Dr. Charnetski is a member of the Wilkes University Alumni Board of Directors and an undergraduate Psychology major mentor at Wilkes. She is also a Board member of Step by Step, a member of the Kosciuszko Foundation and she volunteers for the Luzerne County SPCA.
Dr. Randle is a long-term resident of Mountaintop. She is a proud graduate of Crestwood High School, where she has volunteered as a guest instructor for biology classes, educating students on various diseases and conditions of the eye. Dr. Randle is very excited to serve the community and to call Mountaintop home!
